Criminal Procedure & Evidence Admissibility In Muvhango( a story on SABC2), Teboho surrendered herself to the police because she over-ran Shonisani(Mulalos PA and mistress) with her car. Shonisani confirmed this by laying charges against Teboho. When Shonisani wanted to withdraw the charges, the Investigating Officer refused saying that Teboho has already been charged and it is up to the Court now. Is this refusal correct? What effect will Shonisanis attempt to withdraw the charges have in the trial as a whole? Will Tebohos admission be admissible as evidence?
