Critique of our artistic work affords us the opportunity for great introspection and dramatic self-improvement, but the most important takeaway from any review--glowing, scathing, or anything in between--is the reminder that we have completed a work of personal significance and given it to the world as our gift. Whether well-received or not, it is an accomplishment not many share, and one to be infinitely proud of.
