Cruelty, jealousy, revenge and immature games aren’t necessary. Intentionally going out of your way to see someone fall and hurt, just to give yourself a rise and sense of thrill or gratification isn’t ethical or attractive. You’re giving your power away, and wasting your time, energy and emotions on someone who no longer cares for you. And maybe never did, or didn’t know how too. Focus on your life and your healing. Everyone will face consequences for their behaviour and actions. Everyone feels pain and hurt. There’s a saying “hurt people, hurt people”. Don’t be that person, losing your dignity to get even or hurt someone. They may or may not acknowledge your hurt, because they too are hurting. Maybe one day they will. Maybe they won’t. Accept what is and move on. You’re allowed to be angry and pissed off. But you have no right to attack, humiliate or degrade someone because you couldn’t have your way, or because they found happiness and peace. You have no control, and It isn’t in your hands. So let it go and move on. Begin your healing. Don’t dwell in bitterness. Try forgiveness.
