Crystal Lake Oil Spill Update: Crystal Lake Oil Spill is on the - TopicsExpress

Crystal Lake Oil Spill Update: Crystal Lake Oil Spill is on the Agenda at Beulah Village Government meeting tomorrow, Thursday April 10 at 7PM. There is also a public meeting next week planned for dredging operation , potential source of Oil Spill. Please consider attending these two meetings if you can. Share this video with concerned citizens. Video interview is with Retired Bennie County Deputy Sheriff, Ted Reineer. His first hand account and doubts about the amount of oil spilled that I share, should be listened to and shared. I interviewed Village Trustees Dan Hook and Dan Smith. On Sunday they both personally collected samples of water above the catch basin being dredged, and below a small dam to try and hold back water during dredging. The Village Trustees acted correctly by taking water samples above and below suspected origin of oil spill. No final determinations of the source or type of oil, or petroleum product spilled. Dredging scheduling may be a factor with high water, spring run off of near record snows are a factor in oil spill. Currently no dredging operations are being conducted by the contractor, presumably pending a permit review and an amendment to current permit, and final answers to the source of the Crystal Lake oil spill, the type of oil, or petroleum product spilled and why the two and a half day delay setting booms up on Crystal Lake, where the oil spilled ended up, on ice covered Crystal Lake. No plan, or a delay in implementing an oil spill response plan at Crystal Lake are a concern. Two and a half days from detection to respond by placing oil booms at the delta in Crystal Lake where Coldwater Creek terminates and much of the oil spill ended up. Additional pictures and links below in comments. Miigwetcb to all those who showed up band will share with os who could not be there. Lots of interest and people driving by. Please support the business and folks in Beulah Village by shopping and enjoying a special place and community and their hospitality.
