Culled from Mohamed Azonto Kamara - TopicsExpress

Culled from Mohamed Azonto Kamara When I saw the letter from the Secretary-General of the ruling All Peoples Congress (APC) to the youthful Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray (MKM), my first thought was, “WOW! WHAT A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY SERVED MKM!” I thought so because I expected MKM will use his response to display humility, truthful nature and respect for elders in such a manner that he will win hearts and minds. Boy, was I disappointed? The response from MKM was arrogant, rude, needlessly confrontational and most of all, the tone and language used to address a very senior party member, was unacceptable! How in God’s name will party faithfuls decide to entrust the fate of the APC to someone who reacts in the manner MKM has done? No matter what one may say about President Koroma, you cannot take away his humble and respectful manner. Throughout his struggles for leadership of the APC, there is no evidence of President Koroma ever being rude, arrogant and harsh with party elders. However, MKM, by his response to Osman Yansaneh, has shot himself in the foot by displaying traits that are the exact opposite of President Koroma’s. To make matters even worse, MKM’s denial of using APC symbol has been exposed as just a blatant lie.So, we have a presidential aspirant who has all by himself, proved he is a liar, arrogant, rude and disrespectful of party elders. Instead of using Yansaneh’s letter to showcase his leadership skills, all what MKM did was to shoot himself in the foot and it is a serious injury; a very serious self-inflicted political injury. What a missed opportunity!
