Pay: $38-45K Annual Pay DOE with full benefits including 401(k). Candidates selected will be offered a 10 month renewable contract based on performance. Based on summer enrollment you may be offered a summer contract extension. The Lab Instructor is responsible for creating and sustaining a positive culture that promotes an exceptional educational experience for every student. Site Instructors will contribute to the site’s positive culture based on the values of accountability, service, participation, innovation, respect and excellence . Provides instructional support to facilitate learning in a blended classroom/lab setting. Utilizes key performance data from each student to identify individual student needs and develops appropriate intervention and support strategies to increase academic performance. Site Instructors will create practices and procedures that will increase student engagement, retention, academic performance and a positive learning environment by providing praise, encouragement and reinforcement. Ensures the classroom operates in a safe and orderly manner which is conducive to student learning. 1. Utilizing individual student performance data, identify, implement and document effective interventions that can be used to increase and maintain student engagement, retention, attendance and successful completion of courses. Work directly with students to ensure academic progress and achievement of Personal Learning Plans (PLP) and Individual Education Plans (IEP). Create action plans, set expectations, document progress as required and provide one on one feedback to students on a weekly basis. 2. Provide instructional support and assistance to students regarding courses, assignments, and systems through blended teaching methods. Blended teaching methods may include but are not limited to, one on one and small & whole group instructional interactions. 3. Establish, communicate and model consistent classroom expectations that promote an effective and safe learning environment. Through positive and proactive two-way communication, establish and foster effective relationships with students and family members. 4. Complete all clerical responsibilities with accuracy and timeliness including but not limited to attendance, discipline, intervention strategies and student & parent interactions. 5. Establish and foster effective & positive team oriented relationships with Principal, PCE, SPED, ELL, WOW and Online Instructors by cultivating a atmosphere of honesty, trust and respect. Promote positive and proactive two-way communication of information, changes, and needs in order to work collaboratively to facilitate student learning. 6. Attend key community & site events and participate in professional development days, educational & work related committees while marketing, promoting and representing Pinnacle in a professional manner. 7. Establish and maintain proficiency with technology including the use of student information, learning management and other reporting systems. 8. Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws, along with company policies, procedures and testing mandates.
