Curriculum Integration First Forum, Fall14. I delivered a lecture today titled The Proposed Restrictions in Bangladeshi Television while my two other colleagues Dr. Sumon Rahman and Dr. Kazi Mahmudur Rahman described on The concept of Public Sphere, and The discursive spaces on television respectively! Since summer 2010 Media Studies and Journalism department of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) is facilitating this prestigious Curriculum Integration forum (which was a brain child of our honorable head of department Dr. Jude William Genilo) on a particular theme where the selected faculty members deliver their lecture on a regarding issue! The theme for Fall Semester 2014 is “Bangladesh’s Public Sphere: Going . . Going . . Gone?” The theme highlights the public sphere theory, which was popularized by Jurgen Habermas and later, modified by Habermas himself and post-Habermasian scholars.
