Curse to a Boon; GOD can transform: In the passage Judges 11 we see the life of Jephthah. Jephthah was a mighty man of valour but was a son of an harlot. Jephthah couldnt inherit his right, as people consider him as a son of a strange woman and was sent away. In the process of time, when Ammon made war against Israel. The people of Gilead wanted Jephthah to lead them. Not only they wanted him to lead them in the war, but also promised him to make their leader after the war. We need to hold on to our faith at the lowest time, hold on to God in our pit. Jephthah knew the Word Of God, he knew the scriptures very well. In the chapter Judges 11 we see his conservation with the king of Ammon about the history of Israel. Jephthah made a promise to God before the war, if the enemy was delivered in his hand, he would give away whatever comes first from his house when he returns to home as a sacrifice to God. The Spirit of God came upon Jephthah and The Lord delivered his enemies into his hands. She volunteers for the vow of his father to The Lord, but requests to bewail her virginty upon the mountains for two months with her companions. Jephthah allows her, and after two months when she returns he keeps his word and gives her as a sacrifice to the work of The Lord. Jephthah daughter knew no man. After this it became a custom in Israel, that all the daughters of Israel, four days in a year lament the daughter of Jephthah for her sacrifice. Jephthah who was a son of a harlot was glorified when her daughter is remembered and celebrate
