Curvy women said to be more intelligent and live longer The scientists have found that women with curvier bodies tend to have a higher IQ compared to women who have straight or round bodies. They also appear to have more intelligent children according to the study that took place between 1984 and 1994. The body shape associated with intelligence is described as consisting of larger hips and considerably thinner waist. The scientists explain in the official document of the research, published in the journal of Evolution and Human Behavior that curvy women have more Omega-3 fatty acid, a chemical stored in their bodies and which is extremely necessary for the proper growth of the baby’s brain during pregnancy. The study also found upper-body fat to have a negative effect on the supply of fatty acids which are essential for the neurodevelopment while lower-body is found to be beneficial. Therefore, scientists claim that the waist-hip ration can give significant indications regarding women’s cognitive abilities as well as their children’s.
