D-Day Film of the first wave of Canadian soldiers, from the North Shore Regiment, landing, on Juno Beach Many of us, from the Miramichi, have grandfathers that fought with the North Shore Regiment. My grandfather, Percy Lanteigne, fought with the North Shore Regiment during World War II. He was among those soldiers that landed, on Juno Beach, on D-Day. He was wounded in France, and he returned to my grandmother. He was among the lucky, because many of their friends did not return. I will not forget.
