She was in a domestic violence relationship for 11 years with a man who abused her physically, emotionally and verbally. He started off with playful pushing but it was a sign of things to come. He was controlling and told her she couldnt go anywhere, stay in the house and did not allow her to go out with friends. He got physically aggressive when he hit her in the head with a gun. She stayed in that relationship because she thought it would change and he said he would but it got worst. He dragged her down the stairs, degrade, belittle and scream at her in an inhumane way. She had to get a restraining order but still lived in fear. He continued to threaten her and said she cannot leave him or he will kill her. She prayed to God to get her out of that relationship but she didnt believe and the abuse continued. She had panic attacks, her heart was beating fast, she was sweating and weak and had to see an psychologist because of anxiety and fell into a depression. She finally got out of the relationship once she believed that God could do it and had faith to move on. Tonya Kilpatrick went from Victim to Victorious she is a living miracle of Gods grace, mercy and love.
