DADAA for setting up of Duggar Channel GK NEWS NETWORK SmallerDefaultLarger Jammu, Sep 09: The Doordarshan approved drama arsists association (DADAA) Jammu today highlighted demand for setting up of Duggar Channel for preservation of rich cultural heritage of Jammu region. As per a statement, the association today organised an artists’ meet here under the Presidentship of JS Babli in which several members of the association participated. The association resolved in the meeting to demand setting up of “DUGGAR CHANNEL” with sole aim to promote, protect and develop the rich cultural heritage, art and languages of more than one crore Dogri speaking population “stretched between Mirpur, Bimber, Bag, Siyalkot, Shakargarh, Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Hoshiyarpur, Chamba, Kangra, Palampur, Kulu and Manali”. “Jammu is a suitable place being near to the international border for countering the false propaganda of Pakistan against India and our state. The channel willalso help to promote the prospective polices of Government of India in regard to Kashmir tangle to convince the masses living across the border effectively”, the DADAA statement said. A two minutes silence was observed in the meeting in memory of those artists who have left this world for heavenly abode.
