DAILY BIBLE READING Thur. 3/7/2014 Church Strengthened In The Faith Acts 16:1-5 Discipleship training involves teaching members specific Biblical doctrines, so that the faith of members will be rooted in correct doctrines and their character be founded on sound Biblical principles. Some members of the early Church who got hooked on circumcision went about to destabilise the Church. Elders of the Church met and stated clearly the stand of the Church that circumcision is not necessary for salvation. Paul and Silas carried the decision of the elders to the various Churches. Giving the young Churches correct doctrines made the Churches stronger. Do you make yourself available during Bible studies and special discipleship training organised by the Church? You cannot be strengthened in the faith until you are established as a disciple. Point of Emphasis: Church members’ faith needs to be strengthened with sound Biblical doctrines. Prayer Point: Holy Spirit, send Your fire to consume everything, which weakens our Church.
