DAILY SPIRITUAL FOOD; Keeping Gods Commandments/Laws --A True Test of Love for Him. Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.1 John 5;1-3 “If you love Me, keep My commandments.He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world? Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.John 14;15,21-24 “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.John 15;9-10,14 Friends,the real acid test which defines and shows our genuine love and affection for God and His free gift to the world,His precious son Jesus Christ, is the unrestrained desire and zeal to truly and totally obey and keep His commandments and laws//Anything outside this reality amounts to hypocrisy and false worship like Isaiah prophesied that the people worship God with their lips but their hearts are far from obeying Gods commandments/laws. Jesus,our Lord and master reinforced this revelation when He pointedly told the Jews that they should not attempt to claim son-ship of his fathers kingdom if they would not completely obey his fathers commandments/laws. Then the scribes and Pharisees who were from Jerusalem came to Jesus, saying, Why do Your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread. He answered and said to them, “Why do you also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition?Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying:These people draw near to Me with their mouth,And honor Me with their lips,But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me,Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ Matthew 15;1-3,7-9 “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?Luke 6;46 Brethren,I pray we will not end up as mere facebook prophets,pastors,messengers and christian believers who refuse to wholesomely keep and obey Gods commandments and laws//Any one who tells you that you are under grace and not under the law of a holy God is the greatest enemy of your destiny. The grace of God locates,saves and re-positions you, in a better spiritual pedestal/platform, to truly serve and love God in all things. Grace enhances our resolve to obey and serve God all the days of our earthly pilgrimage.I will be posting in more details teachings on the divine functions of Gods grace in the life of a christian believer next week Gods willing. Grace has not come to replace the laws of God as some teach and propagate in error. Grace was brought by our Lord Jesus Christ to enhance the working of the laws/commandments of an orderly,lawful and holy God. “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.Matthew 5;17-20 Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law.Romans 3;31 May God help us pass this heavenly test by truly obeying his wonderful and easy to keep laws/commandments in Jesus precious name//Amen//Remain blessed more grace .
