DARPA develops self-teaching drones DARPA has developed a chip - TopicsExpress

DARPA develops self-teaching drones DARPA has developed a chip that mimics the functions of the human brain, allowing a small drone to learn as it flies. In a test flight, the drone used an array of sensors to gather information on its surroundings, and reprogram itself on the go. --Why remove the human connection? OK, strike that. The human connection has already proven to be flawed. Even with a human at the controls, more civilians are being killed with drones than actually terrorists. Still, if theres money to be made, they will remove the human element. The only reason that makes financial sense is that when the drone kills by mistake you cant blame or even sue a drone. Oh.. one more think.. Humans will be the ones programming the drones.
