DAY 12 #ACROVINYASA Instagram Upward Facing Dog - Spotting BASE: From front plank, maintain straight arms and shift one foot at a time to just above flyer’s knees. Turn toes outwards and cup the arch of the foot around flyer’s thighs. Engage strongly through the abdominals and stay grounded. For an extra challenge shift feet below flyers knees. FLYER: Keep your body tight whilst engaging abdominals, arm and back muscles. Keep lifting the chest and hold your shape. Press firmly into the hands and stretch the chest forwards and the hips downwards. Engage strongly through the legs and breathe deeply. SPOTTER: Stand alongside flyer in a comfortable but alert squat stance. Place arms like a shelf all the way underneath flyer’s torso and thighs to catch and bring flyer back into balance when necessary.
