DAY 2 AFTER DRAMA MINISTERS 50 DAYS FASTING AND PRAYER. 29 MORE DAYS ...For Mount Zions 100 Days Fast (April 10) THE CHARIOT OF ISRAEL AND ITS HORSEMEN! 2 Kings 2:9-12 9. And so it was, when they had crossed over, that Elijah said to Elisha, “Ask! What may I do for you, before I am taken away from you?” Elisha said, “Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me.” 10. So he said, “You have asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so.” 11. Then it happened, as they continued on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire, and separated the two of them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. 12. And Elisha saw it, and he cried out, “My father, my father, the chariot of Israel and its horsemen!” So he saw him no more. And he took hold of his own clothes and tore them into two pieces. Elisha had followed Elijah across the Jordan River in pursuit of the Double Portion of his power and authority. Elijah had asked Elisha to ask what he wanted him to do for him before was taken away from him, and Elisha had said he wanted the double portion of the power and spirit in Elijah. Elijah had mentioned the condition for receiving such spirit: if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so. They had been walking along and talking together when suddenly, he sighted a chariot of fire and some angelic horsemen in it speeding through them and separated both of them. Elijah was conveyed to heaven in a whirlwind. The condition set for Elisha to receive the Double Portion of spirit was if he saw Elijah going, he would have it. But, Elisha met beyond the condition. His spiritual eyes were so sharp that he did not only see Elijah, but also saw a chariot of fire and its horsemen appearing and separating them. So, Elisha immediately mentioned all he saw. He saw his father in The Lord, and he saw a chariot of fire. The Bible says: And Elisha saw it, and he cried out, “My father, my father, the chariot of Israel and its horsemen!” . He was required to see just one thing, but he saw two. What was the relevance of the extra revelation he saw? What was the purpose of the Chariot of fire and its horsemen that he saw when his master was on his way to heaven? And let us carefully take note, that HE SAW ONLY ONE CHARIOT AND ITS HORSEMEN. He did not see two or three chariots. And let us also note carefully that it was not the chariot of fire that carried him to heaven, it was a whirlwind. The chariot of fire appeared to separate them, and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. What, therefore did the Chariot of fire stand for? What was its purpose? Why coming at the end of the time of Elijah? Why did Elisha see it? Since the condition was: if Elisha saw Elijah when he was being taken to heaven, he would have the double portion of his spirit, WOULD HE ALSO HAVE THE DOUBLE PORTION OF THE CHARIOT OF FIRE AND ITS HORSEMEN? Because his spiritual eyes were so sharp and he was so spiritually focused that he did not only see HIS LEADER, but THE HEAVENLY FORCE backing him up. He did not only see Elijah as demanded, but he also sighted the heavenly force behind him, represented by One Chariot and its Horsemen. Ah! That is a serious issue. Sometimes later, when the King of Syria sent his chariots and horsemen to go and capture Elisha in his camp, and the horses and the chariots came surrounding the who city where Elisha was and the servant of Elisha saw the numerous Syrian chariots and horsemen, he turned to his master in fear. But Elisha was so calm because he saw differently: 2 Kings 6:15-17 15. And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” 16. So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17. And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. The HEAVENLY FORCES accompanying Elisha about were vastly more than those accompanying his master, Elijah. All around the mountains of the city where Elisha was, were a vast number of multitude of chariots of fire and angelic horsemen, watching over him and accompanying him. However, only One Chariot and its horsemen was seen around Elijah when he was about to go. When Elisha was about to go, on his death bed, the king of Israel came to visit him, and he was crying, listen to what the Bible say of the King as Elisha was about to go: 2 Kings 13:14 Elisha had become sick with the illness of which he would die. Then Joash the king of Israel came down to him, and wept over his face, and said, “O my father, my father, the chariots of Israel and their horsemen!” King Joash also cried aloud exactly what Elisha cried many years previously: He cried and said Oh my father, my father, the CHARIOTS of Israel and THEIR HORSEMEN Accompanying Elijah even to his departure from this world was a CHARIOT and its HORSEMEN , but accompanying Elisha, a man of Double Portion, even a his point of departure were CHARIOTS of FIRE and THEIR HORSEMEN. It was this multitude of Chariots Elishas servant saw spreading all over the mountains around his masters camp. How did Elisha come about this multitude of CHARIOTS of Fire? It was the Double Portion of what he sighted when his master was going that he got. He sighted One Chariot of Fire he got multitude of Chariots of Fire. Listen to me, beloved, you could be walking and talking with an anointed man of God and still miss the atmosphere of power around him. This UNDUE FAMILIARITY is a spiritual disease, afflicting many children and young ministers of God. Elisha walked and talked with Elijah, but never lost the sight of the POWER OF GOD working behind his Master, so, he was able to inherit a double portion of that Power of God. Whereas, there are instance of some young ministers who have opportunity and privilege of walking, talking and associating with a Godly man of God or Heavenly-minded Pastor, Father and Mentor, but never saw the Power of God working behind them. The Undue Familiarity has blind-folded them from seeing beyond the man himself. Elisha did not only see the man, he saw the Power Working behind him all those years, and he acknowledged the power. He shouted it aloud. He called upon it when he was going back and was standing by the bank of the River. He shouted something like: Where is The Lord God of my father!!!? Some members of drama ministries never see beyond their frail-looking, un-universityed, unexposed, young, leaders. They never saw beyond him to the Power that called him and established him as Leader. They never knew that, there is a Heavenly Force that commissioned him behind him, however, unexposed, uneducated, frail-looking and simple hearted he may be. They never know that they have a lot of things to gain, if they could just see beyond this man and see that there is a Heavenly Force that called him and made him the leader in the first place. No wonder, a person like Judas would want to seize every available opportunity to make money out of Jesus Christ, while a person like Peter would draw out his sword to cut off the head of whoever wanted to touch his Lord and Master. We all follow our leaders for different reasons. We are all in our ministries for various motives. While some do not see beyond acting in the drama and music ministry, others see far beyond the physical of now, and are beholding the spiritual impact of the ministry to the entire nations, to the world and to the church at large and to the destiny of multitude of people. So, because they see far beyond the Leader of the ministry, and they see beyond the ministry of now, they would be ready to make any sacrifice. They would be ready to pay any price. They would be ready to stand with the leader and carry the load with him. Because they saw beyond their leader. They saw the Heavenly Forces accompanying him to achieve whatever he is achieving. Yes, he may be weak at some point. He may have faults, but that has not removed his calling as the Leader. Can you imagine Elijah who had just singlehandedly slaughtered the 850 prophets of Baal and Priests of Asherah of Jezebel, running away at the threat of Queen Jezebel? He called fire from the heaven to consume the sacrifice on the altar, but now, he suddenly grew weak and began to run away at the threat of a woman. Yet, an angel came to feed him. Yet, at the end, a whirlwind transported him to heaven. And his servant looked beyond all those faults and saw the Power of God propelling him, he saw the Heavenly Force following him. NO WONDER, ELISHA WAS ALSO REWARDED WITH MULTITUDE OF CHARIOTS AND THEIR HORSEMEN. The Lord has been helping your ministry to achieve a lot of things. Your ministry has held many successful drama and film outreaches and concerts. Your ministry has made many movies or made many field drama outreaches. Your ministry has been fruitful and it is still growing. Yet, you would not look beyond this leader and see the where The Lord is taking our ministry. You would not see beyond this man and behold that there is a Heavenly Force behind him, which has been programmed and computerized to multiply in your life and bridge the gap your leader would not bridge, cover the gap your father in The Lord would not cover and achieve what your ministry president would not achieve. Elisha passed through the land of Jericho, but did not heal their water, it was an abandoned project which Elisha, his servant, did when he came with the power. If you are able to see well beyond your Leader, Pastor or ministry President or your mentor, there is a Mantle from him meant for you, and if you are well able to see the Heavenly Forces behind him, those Forces are meant to transform into multitude behind you later on. I have never seen a critic follower, becoming a successful leader. If all you see in your leader and president is faults and shortcomings and mistakes and you are giving him a lot of problems and headache, you can never be a successful leader, because law of Seedtime and Harvest will have to catch up with you. Listen to what Jesus Christ said to us: John 14:12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. Can you beat that? He said, the works He was doing, we shall do. And even greater works we shall do, because: He was going back home to the Father. So, it was programmed for us to do GREATER WORKS that those The Lord Jesus did, IF WE BELIEVE HIM, and catch the revelation of His Resurrection power. Did you catch the revelation of the calling of your Godly ministry President, shepherd-hearted church pastor and leader? Did you key yourself into the covenant holding this ministry you are? Are you following The Lord Jesus like the woman with the issue of blood who touched Jesus with a heart of purpose, or you are following Him purposelessly like the thronging crowd? What did you see behind your Godly president ministry or your heavenly-minded pastor or leader? Did you catch a revelation of him and the Power working in him? Do you believe in the God that called him and made him the Leader? If your leader/Pastor/President is a Godly man with the heart for heaven, there is a Mantle on him that will drop for you to do greater than what he can ever do, and there is a Heavenly Force working behind him which is to be multiplied behind you in due time, if you are able to catch the revelation of his calling and the understanding of the Power working behind your Leader. That is another secret of the Operation of the Double Portion.
