DAY 5 of the 5 songs in 5 days challenge. Anyone who knows me knows that The Jam would have to feature. If i was to make up a top 100, then probably 75 of them would be Jam or Weller tracks. Down In the Tube Station at Midnight is sometimes my favourite song of all time, and then I switch back to Tin Soldier again. Fantastic lyrics bringing you face to face with a gang of thugs beating you up and stealing your money and keys. We never find out what happened to the victims wife but we fear the worst. Weller at his angry-young-man best. Foxtons thumping bass and Bucklers best recorded drums. This is a live version. Im so glad to say that I managed to see The Jam 5 times before they split.
