DAY FOURTEEN Matthew 11: 4 Jesus replied, “ go back and report - TopicsExpress

DAY FOURTEEN Matthew 11: 4 Jesus replied, “ go back and report to John what you hear and see. Here we are stepping into day fourteen, and the action to this scripture has so much power. See from the beginning of creation, we have seen how powerful the words are that we speak. Really, what God did was testify of the living Word, releasing structure and light into the earth, baring life in all existence. We have been taught that the tongue has the power to bless and praise the Lord or curse man, see what this scripture alone says, James 3:9-10; “With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in Gods’ likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brother this should not be.” So here we are shown the tongue can release life or death. When we testify of the things God is doing it brings more life to the goodness of God. There is so many scriptures telling us to testify of the things we see and hear. In our daily scripture when Jesus said, “ Go and tell John what you saw,” He was telling them to testify of the miracles that Jesus was doing, once again so that John would be encouraged, but also to bring power and life to the prophecy that the Messiah had come. See John, prior to Jesus showing up, was testifying of one greater than himself was coming, let’s look at a couple different scriptures on this, first in Matthew 3:3; John says this; “This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah: ‘A voice of the calling in the desert, prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for Him.” Here John is testifying hey, the Lord is coming get ready, this prepared their hearts ahead of time, making it possible. That’s what a testimony does, prepares our hearts and builds our faith to believe and receive the goodness of God. John continues to tell them in scripture, found Matthew 3:11; “I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me will come one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not fit to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire.” See this testimony gave power and life to who Jesus is. The faith of the people that John gave testimony to, of the coming of the Messiah, was already in place and their hearts were ready to receive. That’s is what testimonies do, build our faith and prepare our hearts to receive the things not of this world. Let’s take a look at a scripture in Revelation 12:11; “They overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony; …..”, This is one we use to encourage giving testimonies on healings , because when we do, it covers the healing with the blood of the Lamb, releases more healings, building faith. One thing I am learning is that as I read the Bible and give testimony of what I believe God is saying to me in it, it brings it to life so much more. With this we can release so much power of the Word into the atmosphere. Like there are times I will talk about the Glory and you can just feel the Glory all around. We know this is true, because of what the Word says in this next scripture, Isaiah 6:3; “And they were calling to one another: “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord almighty; the whole earth is full of His Glory.” So see the power of our words when spoken activates His living Word in and around us. Another one I like is when I share on Colossians 3:1-3, lets read it; “Since you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and now your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.” This one, when I share about it, I completely begin to feel that I am in His presence. See the Word says we are, so when we believe it and then speak it, we activate, the living Word around us. Our words have been given power and if they can be used to curse and tear down, destroying the self-esteem in people, activating the deeds of darkness, then they can be used to activate the Word into motion, around us, changing our atmosphere in which we live. Especially when we are speaking Gods’ Word, because His Word is alive. We know that because of what John 1:14 tells us; “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” So the Word became alive and is living amongst us and is full of the glory, because it is from the Creator of all things, God the Father, and in this we need to declare the whole Word of God out of our mouths more, bringing life to it more in this world. I think sometimes we don’t want to talk about God or share the Word so much, because we might offend someone or they might think we are fanatics with religion. So in that we keep quite putting to death the Word of God in this world, killing the Spirit in the atmosphere. See in the beginning of the Bible it said the Spirit of God was hovering over the earth, and when we don’t release His Word we are not putting life but death to the very beginning of the Word. There is a scripture that shares with us how important this is, and we find it in Deuteronomy 6:4-9; “Hear, oh Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one, Love your Lord your God with all your hearts and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.” So this scripture basically says the Word should never depart from your mouth, and our response is people think were preaching too much and are religious. And your right, our testimony should come from the Word of God being seen through our actions as well. We all have so much room to grow. One of the best books I ever read was a book my sister-in law gave me, it was ‘Blue Like Jazz,” written by Don Miller, the main message in this book is about letting people see how much in love with Jesus you are and then they will also fall in love with Him. This is exactly what we need to see in ourselves, that if we are truly passionately in love with Jesus, which is the living Word in the flesh, then we would truly testify that through our actions towards other Christians and non-Christians. The attributes of God would truly flow out of us. We say, yea but were just humans, and I agree, but do you just see what we testified to, that we can’t let our actions reflect the attributes of God, when we need to testify with words from our mouth, saying that the God of all creation lives inside of me and I will testify of His goodness in me through my actions toward all people all the time, because He lives in me. If we begin to testify this out of our mouths, our actions will have to get in alignment with our words, because our words have power to bless or curse, we will then begin to see people supernaturally be drawn into the Body of Christ. Why you ask? Because when you do this you are empowering His glory which surrounds the earth, and nothing that is not of God can live in the Glory. Test it and see if it does not work, it’s that simple, the activation of His Word through our actions, empowers His glory on the earth, which breaks out revival. So Lord right now I activate your Word in each of us, Your Word says that if we are crucified and resurrected with a new life, then we are hidden in You, and if that is so, then in all our ways we must reflect who You are through all our actions, release and empower Your Spirit in us more, so that everywhere we go we leave a deposit of You , effecting all the lives that come into our atmosphere, Amen!
