DCD took Italian spear fisher Davide Marotta and a GoPro on a stick to Mudjimba Island. What began as a one off to describe what we saw on the day turned into a 7 minute documentary. It has done the circuit with Davides family and friends in Italy [Fantastico video! Da vedere e rivere!]. Mudjimba Islands sea life diversity has been affected by spear fishing, aquarium specimen collection and back to back summer flooding. In 2015, Davide is on a quest to learn more conservation and bigger picture concepts and develop a look at sea life, leave only bubbles approach. We will produce short videos from his Italian and Australian adventures. To those of you who do not like to see the brown banded bamboo shark being handled, take comfort that it was not identified at the end of Davides spear.
