Lets try to understand the meaning of the following phrasal verbs. 1.DRAG ALONG/ON -means to progress very slowly e.g; In countries like India,the cases in law courts often drag on. 2. DRAG INTO- means to involve e.g; Rajeev Ganghi was dragged into politics after his mothers death. 3.DRAG UP-means to bring up some unpleasant old story or fact e.g; Why are you dragging that old story up. 4.DRAG OUT-means to elict information e.g; It was not easy to drag out information from the criminal. 5.DRAG DOWN-means reduce to inferior position e.g; His lack of integrity dragged him down.
