DEATH RACE BRETHREN - My name is Rick Cohen and I own Endorphin - TopicsExpress

DEATH RACE BRETHREN - My name is Rick Cohen and I own Endorphin Entertainment, Inc, a production company specializing in sports documentaries. (endorphinentertainment.) As Matt Davis already mentioned in an earlier post, my production company will be shooting a raw, intense, guerrilla-style documentary on the Death Race. Thanks to the generosity of Joe De Sena, Andy Weinberg and Peter Borden, they have given us sole access to shoot the race as well as tell their amazing story in DRs 10th year of existence. I am also going to be a competitor. Some of you already know me through the Ultimate Suck or Suck races that I have shot in the last year. Yes, Im the one who got lost 6 hours in the woods of Cuba, Illinois and yes, I am the one who tore two rotator cuffs 8 weeks ago in Alabama in the first hour of the SE Suck race. I know, I suck-- but you only live once and Id be honored to experience this amazing quest with all of you while documenting each step along the way. I do want to hear about your experiences not only in the race but in your life. Why DR and how the hell did you get to this point of torturing yourself? What motivates someone to do something like this? Etc. You get the point. If you have a story to tell about overcoming obstacles, wed like to hear it. During the week, be nice/cooperative to my crew because they are amazing people as well: Dan Krueger will be following me along the race. Matt Ruggles will be doing interviews at base camp, Mike Cooke will be getting all the cool locale shots of the race and Alec Novoselsky will be my Mr. Everything. You all will be a special part of what I hope to be a fantastic expose of the greatest challenge on the planet. Feel free to connect with on here and on LinkedIn. Reach out to me with some compelling stories and if you get a chance to lift me up off the ground and pull me through during the race, I will thank you wholeheartedly. I am racing specifically for two people: Chad Brown, my best friend who is stricken with a rare form of cancer, and Jeremy Williams, the ex-football coach I did a documentary on in 2010 who is also suffering from ALS, Lou Gehrigs disease. Neither one of these two men have quit, so why should WE? I cant wait to meet all you amazing people.
