DECEMBER 2, 2014 From the Prayer Closet: If change and peace are to be implemented on earth, they have to start someplace. The Spirit has given us notice that change and peace were started today, and they were going to be started in the Prayer Closet. This kind of “blew our socks off” before we even started our prayer time. Dispensing peace in prayer is different than doing healing prayer, encouraging, or uplifting others in prayer. Peace has a different quality and texture to it. There is an inherent softness and gentleness in the handling and praying—a sweet fragrance in the air, a soft song that seems to embrace our beings as we dispense peace. In praying for you, time seems to evaporate as a new reality ever so slowly evolves. Our prayer is that the peace that we are presently sensing may fill your heart and soul as we pray for you today. Amen. Scripture: “The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them. The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox. The infant will play near the hole of the cobra, and the young child put his hand into the vipers nest. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.” (Isaiah 11:6-9, NIV) Pray-ers Note: Historically revivals and awakenings have taken place when pray-ers came out of their Prayer Closets. What might happen if each of you who are praying today made a conscious decision to embrace the peace that passes understanding and shared it not only with those whose names appeared on the prayer list, but with all the people with whom you come into contact? Softly speak the words of peace to your family, to people with whom you work, at church, at the grocery store, and at the coffee shop. Separate yourself from the abrasiveness of the media, as well as coarse and gossiping chatter. In the quiet of the peaceful time, find a restful place to read, write, or do something creative as a continuation of experiencing the peace that you have strove to allow to flow through your heart today.
