DENSITY? What is THAT? Fifth grade students in Ms. Jessica Weakleys class at St. Joseph Middle School recently explored the densities of different liquids. I gave them the densities of each liquid, and they layered them from most dense to least dense, Ms. Weakley said. The liquids included honey, corn syrup, dish detergent, water, vegetable oil, and lamp oil. The more dense liquids were pourable, while the less dense ones were dripped carefully into each container. Small objects were later dropped into them to see where they would settle among the different densities.
