DEVELOPMENT AGENDA ON COURSE (JANUARY 2, 2015). H.E the Governor, Eng. John Mruttu has today commissioned the functioning of two projects as part of the County Government development agenda aimed at bettering the lives of Taita Taveta Residents. While officially launching Mwasoko Water Project in Mrughua, Bura Ward, Eng. Mruttu urged residents to own the project and make sure that it is managed properly for their own benefit. “As the County government, we appreciate the importance of water in our daily activities and in support of the foregoing we have allocated 325M in this financial year as part of concerted efforts to ensure water is available in all the four Sub Counties” disclosed the Governor. He further said that more money shall be allocated in subsequent years to make sure that water shortages are completely dealt with in the County. In the same ward, H.E the Governor officially opened an Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) center in Nyolo Primary School built by the County Government at the cost of 1.937M. Speaking moments after officially opening the center, Eng. Mruttu acknowledged the strategic positioning of the center and urged parents to make maximum use of the facility. He also called on for cooperation among parents, teachers and students to uplift the standards of education in the County.
