DID YOU ADOPT THIS DOG ?? Sassafras, the beagle mix featured in several newspaper and TV news stories, is still missing. However, she has been sighted several times, most recently on May 9, 2012. She roams far and wide, most often being seen around Chevy Chase and Rock Creek Park. Other areas where shes known to have spent time include Bethesda, Tenleytown, and 16th Street. She is a 4 year old brown/white/black beagle mix with a distinctive white tipped tail that curls back towards her head. Her ears are more erect and smaller than those of a typical beagle. She is dearly missed. We need another good sighting so we can bring her home where she belongs. If you spot her, please try to snap a picture if possible, note the exact location and time, and call us ASAP day or night at 202-664-2301 or email findsassafras at gmail dot com. Please do NOT chase her. She is fast and will run! If Sassafras wanders onto your property, please close the gate to keep her there and phone us so we can fetch her. (Even once shes supposedly confined to a yard, please dont chase after her because that might motivate her to squeeze through any small gaps in the fence.)
