DIOCESE TO DISTRIBUTE NEWS VIA FLOCKNOTES. This week, the Communications Department of the Diocese of San Angelo and the West Texas Angelus will begin delivery of “DOSAMail,” a weekly update of news from around the diocese that will also include articles and comment from a wide variety of Catholic sources. DOSA Mail, short for Diocese of San Angelo Mail, will be delivered to all who subscribe to the free service. It will keep you up to date on Catholic news in West Texas when it happens, including items from Bishop Pfeifer, and information from parishes who supply items for distribution. The user sign-up process is simple: visit flocknote/dosamail. Give us your first and last name and your email address. Assign yourself a password for your own records and you’re in. It costs nothing. The service is provided by Flocknotes, a Spring, Texas-based operation run by young, tech-savvy Catholics who have discovered a great way to increase communications as we have been nudged toward by the Church. St. Ann’s Church in Midland has been using the service since October 2012 and has almost 400 subscribers. DOSA Mail will provide you the latest news and information locally and from around the world. If something important occurs on a day other than when DOSAMail is sent, we’ll get it to you whenever it happens instead of making you wait until the next week, but we will not flood your inbox. Parishes, please email news/info you would like Catholics around the diocese to know about to jimmyleepatterson@gmail. The new email will also include electronic delivery of a pdf version of the monthly West Texas Angelus.
