DISGUSTING SALES PRACTISE!! Hi There. I have been a loyal customer of yours for over 10 years now, and I have always been very happy with the service I have received from you during this time. I have recently upgraded my phone with you for the next 2 years and as part of this upgrade I was given a 3 month data test drive to take advantage of unlimited mobile internet. during this time every month I have had a text from you stating how much data I have used and reminding me that I am free to explore the internet and also stating the amount of data I have used. My usage has never been over 500mb, and seeing as I have a 1GB per month allowance included in my normal plan I was pleased to know that this was the right plan for me. However! today I received a call from one of your call centres informing me that this data test drive was now over. I knew this but it was nice to have it confirmed. The caller then proceeded to tell me that I had used much more than 1GB every month and I should look at increasing my plan. Obviously I was confused, so I went in to my messages and checked the usage that I had been sent. I told the caller that I had never been over 500MB in the 3 months that I had been using the trial but they where insistent that I had, and even said that I had used so much data one month that it was bringing the average monthly usage to over 1GB. I then told them exactly how much data I had used referring to the texts that VODAFONE had sent me! to my astonishment the call was then ended very abruptly! Now! I am well aware that this particular person was clearly acting on instructions from a manager to use this particular sales tactic so I do not wish to disclose their name as I feel it would be unfair for an employee to be disciplined for simply carrying out instructions from a manager who clearly should not be in the position that he is. Because of this underhand and frankly dishonest sales practise I will be leaving you as soon as my contract is over. I am well aware that losing my custom is nothing compared to the amount of extra revenue you will gain from customers that do not question this cowboy approach to sales, but let me assure I will Never recommend your services to anyone ever again!!!!
