“DJ Tip Of The Day” “Club Research” It’s always good to research a club or an event before going to DJ there. With this technique you get a reassurance that you have the right type of genre music to go with. For example, you’re a gangsta rap DJ; you may specialize in gangster rap music. But, the club you’re going to be DJ-ing at specialize in an R&B crowd of consumers. With the research you did, you will be prepared properly. Just go to the club and have a drink, look at the type of people that attend the club and make your judgment off of that. Talk to some of the regulars there and see what they feel they would want to hear and what their current DJ, is not playing.
