DJ and turntablists: what were your motivations to get behind the wheels (or, the controllers) when you started? For me, it was collecting, cutting up, and sharing music that I love and believe in; and, also, being able to manipulate and touch sound. It was also to learn about music. I wanted to be a part of that underground skratch DJ shit. It had nothing to do with looking cool or being cool or having people think i was cool. It wasnt ever really to rock parties or make coin. Never about ladies or being popular or being famous. Just kind of interested why you got into it, even if you just wanted to make $ or throw cakes on people.
