DLRC meeting held at Kupwara 2573 RUPAY Debit Cards issued under PMJDY KUPWARA, DECEMBER 31: The DLRC/DCC meeting of district Kupwara was held here today under the Chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Itrat Hussain Rafique, to review achievements under Annual District Credit Plan 2014-15. Additional District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Chief Planning Officer Kupwara, Cluster Head J&K Bank, LDO from RBI, DDM NABARD besides District Coordinators of financial institutions and representatives of various Government departments and sponsoring agencies were also present in the meeting. Lead District Manager Kupwara apprised the meeting of achievements made upto September 30, 2014 saying that 43.40 percent of the target under annual credit plan 2014-15 has been achieved at the end of 2nd quarter of the current financial year. He informed that the financial institutions have provided credit of Rs. 123.67 crore to 6429 income generating unit holders under Priority Sector and Rs. 111.25 crore to 2622 beneficiaries under Non-Priority Sector upto September 30, 2014 for development of the area and eradication of poverty and unemployment. He further informed that deposits of the district have increased by 5.13 percent and advances by 29.67 percent besides the CD ratio of the district stands at 71.28 percent as compared to 57.79 percent as on September 30, 3014. The representatives of the Banks, Horticulture and Agriculture departments were asked to put in extra efforts to achieve 100 percent target under KCC scheme as per the extended deadline. Meanwhile, a meeting of District Level Implementation Committee for PMJDY was also held today to review the progress achieved so far. It was informed that till date, the Banks have opened 43,039 accounts under PMJDY scheme wherein an amount of Rs. 6.71 crore has been held as deposits. The Banks have also issued 2573 RUPAY Debit Cards to the account holders under the PMJDY.
