DO NOT BE DECEIVED!!! There is another false and deceptive doctrine of the anti-Christ out there that makes many, even those in the church think and feel that once they have a relationship with Christ they can not be separated from Christ. Having a relationship with someone while you do what the person detests will lead to a break in the relationship. This false doctrine makes even those who have lost their way by heading back into the world, those who have started indulging in delighting in the sinful pleasures of the world and the ways of darkness deceive themselves by claiming to be in Christ and Christ in them. This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth. 1 John 1:5-6. The Word of God is Truth and practicing the Truth means we are practicing (believing and obeying) The Word of God. By making this claim they blaspheme the name of Christ for Christ can not be associated with sinning. Christ did not preach unto sin, but preached unto righteousness, He calls us all to seek the Kingdom of God and its righteousness (Matthew 6:33). The Kingdom of God is about righteousness (Romans 14:17). Jesus Christ Himself cautioned His disciples about staying in Him and not being cut off: I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesnt produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. John 15:1-4. Dont forget what Jesus Christ also said about an evil spirit leaving and coming back, for a man does evil under the influence of an evil spirit just as a man lives a righteous life in the Holy Spirit: “When an evil spirit leaves a person, it goes into the desert, seeking rest but finding none. Then it says, ‘I will return to the person I came from.’ So it returns and finds its former home empty, swept, and in order. Then the spirit finds seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they all enter the person and live there. And so that person is worse off than before. That will be the experience of this evil generation.” Matthew 12:43-45. The Word of God after cautioning all against these false prophets in 2 Peter 2 ended the chapter by clearly stating this: And when people escape from the wickedness of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and then get tangled up and enslaved by sin again, they are worse off than before. It would be better if they had never known the way to righteousness than to know it and then reject the command they were given to live a holy life. They prove the truth of this proverb: “A dog returns to its vomit.” And another says, “A washed pig returns to the mud.” 2 Peter 2:20-22. It is not too late if the Holy Spirit has convicted you of your turning away from the narrow way unto the highway to hell. Head the voice of God, heed this clear message in the book of revelations: Remember then from what heights you have fallen. Repent (change the inner man to meet God’s will) and do the works you did previously [when first you knew the Lord], or else I will visit you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you change your mind and repent. Revelations 2:5. The grace of God, Jesus Christ (The Word of God-The Truth) gives you the power to overcome sin. Christ overcame the world, you can overcome too if you yield to Him and do His Will.
