DO PREGNANT WOMEN MENSTRUATE? Pregnant women do not release eggs - TopicsExpress

DO PREGNANT WOMEN MENSTRUATE? Pregnant women do not release eggs and have their endometrial lining occupied by an embryo. Immediately you are pregnant, your body produces a hormone, human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) which interferes with your menstrual cycle. So technically, menstruation is NOT possible. During implantation, there is sometimes bleeding which should not be mistaken for menstruation. This occurs about 12 days after fertilisation and is found to be quite normal. However bleeding or spotting during pregnancy is fatal and is usually associated with -Miscarriage -Ectopic pregnancy -Infections such as endometriosis, vaginosis, chlamydia etc -Infection of the cervix -Trauma of the walls of the vagina In a nut shell, seeing your blood whiles you are pregnant is not normal and you are not menstruating either. See your doctor immediately for examination and treatment. Like and share this post to educate others. Patrick Fynn
