DODDINGTON HALL ENABLING APPLICATION (14/5654N) has now been registered on the CEC Planning Portal. There are 73 sets of detailed plans and reports to wade through over the next four weeks (although I am liaising with Planning to get the time period extended). This is for the restoration of the Hall to a 120 bed 5* Hotel and Spa and is phase 1 of the proposed plans for this site. Residents must remember that this is Enabling development and phase 2 will relate to the proposed 130 houses (approx) to be built around Bridgemere and Hatherton in the Open Countryside to help fund the project. Ultimately the Planning Committee will have to decide if the benefit of maintaining the historic assets outweighs the harm of the enabling development.
