DOES JESUS REALLY CARE? Do you really know and believe that Jesus loves you and cares deeply about you than you can possibly do for yourself? If Jesus so much loves you to the extent He went to the cross and died for you, what else is your problem about Him now? If Jesus so much loves you and created you to become like Him when He foreknew you as a sinner before your creation and birth, then what is your problem about Him now? If Jesus has cared for you when you were very helpless in your mothers womb and during all your infancy and has kept you alive and safe to this present time of your life, then what is your problem about Him now? Has Jesus ever wronged or offended you somehow? Has He now suddenly become incapable to fulfil His promises to you? If Jesus remains who He is to you, as the Scripture says, Jesus of yesterday the same today and forever, why don’t you simply cast all your anxieties, troubles and needs on Him as even He urges and pleads with you every day in the Scriptures to do just that? You see, you need not be very fluent and a skilled orator or self-righteous in your own estimate in order to speak to Him. Just talk (pray) to Him. Talk with Him persistently about all your situations and circumstances and never give up on Him. Even, He urges and pleads with you to do just that. You have complained enough and done much harm to yourself. You have brought enough troubles and anxieties upon yourself. When is enough going to be enough for your own destruction and downcast mood? When do you intend to stop gossiping, complaining, lamenting and wailing about your life challenging situations and instead carry them all to Jesus in prayer as He is pleading with you today to do? Therefore, this is what the Scripture instructs and assures us to do: Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed (Prov. 16:3). Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust Him, and He will help you (Ps. 37:5). Give your burdens to the Lord, and He will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall (Ps. 55:22). And all of you, dress yourselves in humility as you relate to one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time He will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you. Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are (1 Pt.5:5b-9). As for me, since I am poor and needy, let the Lord keep me in His thoughts. You are my helper and my Savior. O my God, do not delay (Ps. 40:17).
