DONATIONS NEEDED TODAY! Camp Cocker Rescues Jordy was hospitalized at 1:00am, his physical decline is going down rapidly and we are really worried. His MRI was scheduled for Sunday and it has been pushed up to 3pm today. Not ideal because he was supposed to be off of the Rimadyl for 72 hours prior but we are very anxious to get going with some form of treatment. We hope the MRI will give information to a diagnosis and what form of treatment to get started on. If it is Meningitis, the treatment is four to six months of anti-biotics. If it is something progressive such as disk disease or diskospondylitis, then the treatment is steroids. For those of you that think we should have put Jordy to sleep already, we understand your point of view, we really do. We have struggled with making decisions for him one day at a time. If there is a chance that he has something treatable, we feel like the MRI will give us some options. If there is no chance that he has something treatable, of course we will put him to sleep because we dont want to see any dog suffer in ongoing pain. Jordy has seen multiple vets, multiple specialists . . . as rescuers, we are doing the best that we can with the information that we have. Jordys steady decline has started nine days ago and he was doing okay there for about a week after he was out of the hospital the first time.
