DONT BE FOOLED!!! BUYER BEWARE! Pacific Prime Foods is going door to door selling meat and seafood out of a chest freezer strapped into the back of a pickup truck - Today I questioned their salesman and he stated: - They do have a business license but were unable or unwilling to show it to me. - They claimed to be selling angus meat but their packaging was not marked Certified Angus Beef - They claimed to be selling All Natural Beef but could not tell me the criteria for labeling Naturally Raised beef - They claimed to be selling grass fed meat but could not verify that to be true. - They claimed the meat came right off the farm and through a slaughter house in Illinois but a call to the USDA Inspector showed the number on the boxes came back to a facility in the Bronx. - There are no weights marked on their packaging, youre buying by the cut. - The meat they showed me had a greyish brown color like what is on the shelves at the grocery store after a few days ---- not the deep red color our meat has in the Vacuum Packs. - As soon as I asked to see their business license, they locked the freezers and got back in their truck. - A closer look at their sales flyer shows a Family Smart Buy consisting of 9 cases would cost $3,501.00 .... but youd get a free 15 cubic foot freezer!!! HAHAHA.... You could nearly buy TWO full steers from us for that amount of money! Two full steers from us would last an average family of 4 for about three years.... - They offer a Three (3) case special for $419 PER CASE (thats $1,257.00) and would give you a fourth case or a free 7 cubic foot freezer for free......think about that folks - a 1/4 of beef from us is approx $450 and nearly FILLS a 5.5 cubic foot freezer that costs under $200! ...you could buy a 7 cubic foot freezer and a 1/2 a steer from us for less money than their Three Case Special... - A box of Angus New York Strip sells for $89.....it has 4 steaks in it.... thats over $22 a steak.... WOW! - A box of 15 Angus Chopped Beef Patties costs $59!!! nearly $4 PER BURGER! Folks, I truly believe we have some of the best tasting, best quality, locally raised beef and pork there is....and it doesnt cost anywhere near what that costs! longhollowcattle
