DR#290314 Following the brave example of my FB friend Софья Мартьянова (who I never met) I decided to do it. What was the diary before? Handwritten and private. Life changed. Now it is typed and public. Not sure I will last more than 2 days, but I will try. At least try to add something beside politics to Facebook. Today’s morning can definitely be called Never Give Up. Imagine you wake up to annoying alarm clock in a comfortable hotel in central London. Say Conduit street. Just behind Burberry on New Bond Street. You know that the breakfast is included and the room is yours at least until noon. You look at your iphone clock and you see 07:13. And THAN you recognize that your flight from Heathrow Terminal 4 is at 8:20. Meaning that the gate is closing in 47 minutes. And you haven’t even packed… What would any normal person do? Give up? At 07:17 you are in a taxi and the driver is a bit surprised to hear “08:20 flight”. The rest – taxi, traffic, security, how far is the gate – doesn’t depend on you. You start making alternative plans and… you make it on time. Business class London-Paris. And they don’t offer champagne anymore. That was the real disappointment! Is this what they call cost saving? This is saving people from flying business class! Forgot to tell you. I missed my breakfast in the hotel. And I DIDN’T steal the adapter. Will return when I am back. And this is just morning. Considering that the final destination today is Cuba – first time – there must be something else to complete the first day report… Hopefully to be continued. Life is beautiful. Let’s share it! PS Should forget to buy in CDG: маникюрные ножницы, шампанское, адаптер, трусы, одеколон.
