DRAGON AGE:INQUISITION PS3 REVIEW ---------------------------------- Article From Gamer n Chief: - Corey Logan Greenwald ---------------------------------- We Struck Magazines Score: 9.0 out of 10 - Awesome. Must have game for fans of all genres. --------------------------------- Got time to spend? No, I dont mean your typical 20-25 hours on a fun, re-playable title. I mean time that those fellow gamers to myself have sunk into Chrono Trigger growing up. To KOTOR in high-school. The hundreds of hours in Skyrim only a few years ago. With reviewers across the board putting out there the time they put into this long awaited sequel to Dragon Age 2; We Struck Magazine clocked an epic 110 hours, and still counting. And no, we didnt just fall asleep with the clock ticking. Dragon Age: Inquisition takes those ingredients that make for re-playability in those RPGS of our youth and recent epics like Skyrim and adds not only an addictive new combat system and home base a la Suikoden feel. Inquisition goes farther than all that in sheer size. Sheer addictive qualities that might lead to 12 step meetings. This game is an addiction. If you arent the sort to get too involved in gaming. Never really spent more than an hour at a time on a console/computer gaming? Than I still recommend Dragon Age: Inquisition; for the sheer likelihood that it will make you an rpg addict like we hardcore gamers. To mention the sheer diversity in even the massively varied landscape you come across; almost made us here at We Struck Magazine fuzzy in recalling the old map screen from Dragon Age: Origins or the stuck in Kirkwall vibe from Dragon Age 2. As fans of the series may recall, weve heard a great deal about this Quasi-French land of Orlais. Finally do we get to visit more in depth than we did during previous Dragon Age DLC. Thats only one example of the lands and adventures we could only read of whenever our character from Origins or Dragon Age 2s Hawke would experience in reading in game lore. That lore is now part and parcel of a massive undertaking for the dedicated. A huge adventure for the casual gamer. This game may be the pinnacle so far, of what started with Peter Molyneuxs Fable and Fable 2; and seen in the mass effect games as well. A system where your choices truly change your experience. In Inquisition, the ultimately expansive locales and locals to interact with offer what this gamer estimates as 10 times the game changing choices as Mass Effect 3. Added on, for those interested; is an online co-op experience for those looking to meet their match on their PSN or Xbox Live account. Was it a feature we dug into much? Honestly, no. There was too much game to even stop and consider it. For the few minutes on the new online mode however, it seemed quite well-crafted and smart. However many gamers may like myself, be too addicted to the single-player experience to even remember that an online mode is available. So what makes this game a 9.0 instead of a 10 from our panel of gaming judges at We Struck Magazine? Well, the plot lines of previous Dragon Age games had this similar flaw. Just oft predictable. More often cheesy. Too often accidentally funny in what seemed serious dialogue. So for fault in plot as a whole, still VERY playable and fun despite an at times weak plot line. A plot that gets the job done, yet certainly not riveting. Dont let that deter you! Pick up Dragon Age: Inquisition, even if your not a fan of RPGs, this is an excellent game, and a one of a kind addictive experience. ----------------------------------- We Struck Magazines Score: 9.0 out of 10 - Awesome.
