DUBLIN CITY COUNCIL NORTH CENTRAL AREA COMMITTEE 16th May 2011 Q.33 Question in the name of Councillor Brian McDowell “To ask the manager to undertake the following works in the Kilbarrack area · Street Sign indicating direction to Kilbarrack from coast road & Kilbarrack road. · Placement of additional litter bins in the Briarfield/Roseglen area · Green areas in Briarfield Grove edged & cleaned of glass/ bottles & cans · Weed killer put along pavement/paths/ tarmac areas along Briarfield Grove, Briarfield Road and Roseglen.” Reply: The Traffic Division will review road signage in the Kilbarrack and Howth Road areas and report back directly to the Councillor. Waste Management Division has reported that there are no plans at present to provide additional litter bins in the Roseglen/Briarsfield area. The maintenance of the residential public open space in the charge of the Parks and Landscape Services Division is carried out on a regular basis during the growing season and includes cleaning. Any edging operations carried out are through herbicide application, when this is considered to be required by staff of this Division. The open spaces at Briarfield Grove are also inspected on a regular basis. The Weeding Contract has been awarded and weeding will commence in the North Central Area in mid June.
