DUET Admission Policy: Admission to the first year session 2013-2014 is done according to the Dawood University of Engineering & Technology policy and the rules. The rules of admission mentioned here are subject to the modification / revision by the competent authority from time to time. The university reserves the right to make any changes with regard to admission rules. Determination of Merit: Pre-Admission Test: All candidates seeking admission under following schemes / categories and whose application forms are found valid are eligible in appear in pre-admission test (entry test) to be conducted by Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, Karachi. The venue and date of test shall be announced separately. Sindh / Rural, (HSC/BSc/Diploma/Sports), seats for AJK, Federal Capital Area of Islamabad, Dawood Foundation, seats reserved for sons and daughter of DUET staff/non-teaching staff / professional engineers / architect / town planners, self finanace scheme local / foreign The test will be conducted in the following subjects Physics Chemistry Mathematics English Computer Science Determination of Merit Position: Marks Weightage 1) Matriculation 10% 2) Intermediate(Pre-Engg)/BSc (Pass) / Diploma 40% 3) Pre-Admission Test 50% The admission in each category shall be made in order of priority as per the following Tiers. Tier No.1 Candidate who secures at least 50% marks in the pre-admission test. Tier No. 2 Candidate who secure 40% to 49.99% marks in the pre-admission Test. Tier No. 3 Candidate who secure 30% to 39.99% in the pre-admission Test. Tier No. 4 Candidate who secure 20% to 29.99% in the pre-admission test. Candidate having secured less then 20% marks in the pre-admission test shall be not eligible for the admission in DUET.
