DYK: Zimmerman’s father is a retired judge. George Zimmerman took criminal justice classes in college where he learned about self-defense and the Stand Your Ground law. He ultimately wanted to be a police officer and was allowed to go on ride alongs with the Sanford Police Dept. The same police dept. that was involved in the case and didn’t see fit to charge Zimmerman with anything the night he murdered Trayvon. Juror B37’s husband, who is an attorney, allegedly went to school with George Zimmerman’s attorney Mark O’Mara. A jury of 5 white women and 1 Latina (whose race is most likely white) in the year 2013. rigged?
