Daal mash dhaba style Ingredients Mash daal 2 cups Onion 2 medium sized finely chopped Tomato 2 finely chopped Fresh garlic, ginger paste 1 1/2 tbs Yogurt 1/2 cup Green chillies to garnish Coriander 1/2 cup chopped Salt to taste Whole red chillies 3-4 Red chili powder to taste Turmeric 1/2 tea spoon Ground cumin powder 1 tea spoon Ground coriander powder 1 tea spoon Garam masala powder 1/4 tea spoon Oil 1/2 cup Water as required Method 1. Soak daal for 2-3 hours and drain the previous water add new water and boil it. 2. Add oil in a pan and add whole red chillies fry for 2 mins add onions fry until they turn pink in color. 3. Add garlic and soute for a while and add tomatoes. Cooked it and mix well until the all the ingredients fully blended. 4. Add yogurt and take the pan off the heat mix well and add a little water in it and cook for 5-6 mins. 5. Now add ginger paste and all the spices, let it cook for few more minutes. 6. Add boiled daal and bhoonofie well. Now add just a little bit water and keep on very low flame. Like dam wali heat pe. Its better if u put it over a tawa or heat spreader. Let it cook until all the oil comes on surface. Garnish with garam masala, green chili and coriander.
