Dad is still in the ICU. He is being watched very closely due to the excess fluid around his brain. Surgery has been suggested but doctors have told my mom it may not be a good option for my dad. So, another scan will be done tomorrow to see if he has worsen or remained the same. Today Mom said he didnt recognize her at all. That has been very difficult for her. She has been on an emotional roller coaster this week. It is awful to hear her pain through the phone. Dear Iowa family and friends, my mom is AWFUL at asking and accepting help. And honestly her kids (me) have probably gotten that trait from her as well but she needs any and all help that you can offer. She needs rides for Ani, meals, housecleaning, hugs, and boxes of tissue. Please do not offer the promise of help but instead pick something and do it! She is completely overwhelmed with bigger decisions. I CAN NOT thank you enough for all the help, love and support. My family is set to see them in a week and I hope they can be well taken care of until we are able to arrive.
