Dads surgery went well. They put in three titanium plates to hold his sternum together while healing. They got as much of the pneumonia out of his lungs as possible. Now he is totally sedated for the next couple of days so that he doesnt have an issue with the breathing tube down his throat or feeding tube in his stomach. The doctors will suction as much of the fluid from his lungs over the next few days via the tube into his lungs. He will then be slowly reawakened and we should be able to talk to him in a few days, so until then, we wait. Blessings to everyone for your concern.
