Daily Bible 2014 26 Tue Aug The Lord’s First Defense [ Job 38:1 - 38:18 ] (Hymm217) Unlike Elihu’s expectation, God personally came to Job and spoke to him. God defended Himself by questioning Job and showed him love. 여호와의 첫 번째 변론 엘리후의 예상과 달리 하나님이 직접 욥에게 나타나셔서 말씀하십니다. 하나님은 자신을 변호하시고, 욥에게 질문하시고, 또 사랑을 보여주십니다. Summing up 1Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind and said: 2“Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge? 3Dress for action like a man; I will question you, and you make it known to me. 4“Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding. 5Who determined its measurements―surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? 6On what were its bases sunk, or who laid its cornerstone, 7when the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy? 8“Or who shut in the sea with doors when it burst out from the womb, 9when I made clouds its garment and thick darkness its swaddling band, 10and prescribed limits for it and set bars and doors, 11and said, ‘Thus far shall you come, and no farther, and here shall your proud waves be stayed’? 12“Have you commanded the morning since your days began, and caused the dawn to know its place, 13that it might take hold of the skirts of the earth, and the wicked be shaken out of it? 14It is changed like clay under the seal, and its features stand out like a garment. 15From the wicked their light is withheld, and their uplifted arm is broken. 16“Have you entered into the springs of the sea, or walked in the recesses of the deep? 17Have the gates of death been revealed to you, or have you seen the gates of deep darkness? 18Have you comprehended the expanse of the earth? Declare, if you know all this. 1그 때에 여호와께서 폭풍우 가운데에서 욥에게 말씀하여 이르시되 2무지한 말로 생각을 어둡게 하는 자가 누구냐 3너는 대장부처럼 허리를 묶고 내가 네게 묻는 것을 대답할지니라 4내가 땅의 기초를 놓을 때에 네가 어디 있었느냐 네가 깨달아 알았거든 말할지니라 5누가 그것의 도량법을 정하였는지, 누가 그 줄을 그것의 위에 띄웠는지 네가 아느냐 6그것의 주추는 무엇 위에 세웠으며 그 모퉁잇돌을 누가 놓았느냐 7그 때에 새벽 별들이 기뻐 노래하며 하나님의 아들들이 다 기뻐 소리를 질렀느니라 8바다가 그 모태에서 터져 나올 때에 문으로 그것을 가둔 자가 누구냐 9그 때에 내가 구름으로 그 옷을 만들고 흑암으로 그 강보를 만들고 10한계를 정하여 문빗장을 지르고 11이르기를 네가 여기까지 오고 더 넘어가지 못하리니 네 높은 파도가 여기서 그칠지니라 하였노라 12네가 너의 날에 아침에게 명령하였느냐 새벽에게 그 자리를 일러 주었느냐 13그것으로 땅 끝을 붙잡고 악한 자들을 그 땅에서 떨쳐 버린 일이 있었느냐 14땅이 변하여 진흙에 인친 것 같이 되었고 그들은 옷 같이 나타나되 15악인에게는 그 빛이 차단되고 그들의 높이 든 팔이 꺾이느니라 16네가 바다의 샘에 들어갔었느냐 깊은 물 밑으로 걸어 다녀 보았느냐 17사망의 문이 네게 나타났느냐 사망의 그늘진 문을 네가 보았느냐 18땅의 너비를 네가 측량할 수 있느냐 네가 그 모든 것들을 다 알거든 말할지니라 Who is God like? Thinking & Understanding Who is God? Vv. 4-18 God the Creator has laid the foundations of the earth and set the boundaries of the sea waters. Also, God eliminated the darkness which symbolized the wicked with the morning light. He even oversees the land of death. God asks Job if he knew God’s providence in His creation. But Job was not even born when God created the order of His creation. Job could not stop the morning of his birth, and he has not been to the world of death where he so desired to go. Therefore, he could not understand God’s providence. God was pointing this out to Job. In other words, Job could not understand the pain (suffering) which God gave with his own knowledge. Do we not admit God’s providence because of all the problems and suffering we are facing? Rather than denying God’s sovereignty because we cannot understand it, we should faithfully wait until God speaks to us. 천지를 지으신 하나님은 땅의 기초를 놓으셨고, 바닷물의 경계를 정하셨습니다. 또한 하나님은 악인의 활동 무대를 상징하는 어둠을 새벽빛으로 몰아내시고, 사망의 땅까지도 주관하셨습니다. 하나님은 욥에게 이런 자신의 창조 섭리를 아느냐고 물으셨습니다. 하지만 욥은 하나님이 창조의 질서를 세우실 때에 태어나지도 않았고, 자신이 태어난 새벽을 막을 수도 없었고, 그토록 가고 싶어 했던 죽음의 세계에 가본 적도 없기에 하나님의 섭리를 온전히 이해할 수 없었습니다. 바로 하나님은 이점을 욥에게 지적하시는 것입니다. 즉 욥의 지식으로는 하나님께서 욥에게 주신 고난도 이해할 수 없다는 것입니다. 나는 지금 내 눈앞에 나타나는 불의와 억울함의 문제들 때문에 하나님의 모든 섭리를 부정하지는 않습니까? 이해되지 않는다고 쉽게 하나님과 그분의 통치를 부정하기보다 하나님이 말씀하시기까지 믿음을 가지고 기다리십시오. Thinking & Understanding God, who Job was waiting for longingly, finally speaks to him. God questioned Job out of the whirlwind. First, He asks Job where he was when God laid the foundation of the earth. God asks who shut the sea so that it does not overflow onto the earth. Who made the morning and darkness repeat? Furthermore, God asks if Job has been to the bottom of the sea and if he knows every part of this world. God is revealing the limits of Job’s knowledge (vv. 1-18). 욥이 그토록 기다리던 하나님께서 말씀하십니다. 하나님은 폭풍 가운데서 나타나셔서 욥에게 질문하십니다. 먼저 자신이 땅의 기초를 세울 때 욥이 어디에 있었는지 물으십니다. 바다가 땅 위로 침범하지 못하도록 바다의 한계를 정한 자가 누구인지, 새벽과 어둠이 반복되게 하신 이가 누구인지 물으십니다. 거기서 끝나지 않고 하나님은 욥에게 바다의 근원에 가 본 적이 있는지, 지구의 구석구석을 알고 있는지 물으십니다. 하나님은 욥에게 있는 지식의 한계를 드러내신 것입니다(1-18절).
