Daily Bible Reading 20 July: John 17 “Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent” (vs. 3). “Know” means, “to know by experience; to be in an intimate, personal relationship.” Merely learning and thinking about God or Christian doctrines, if you stop there, falls short of knowing God. Knowing God is experiential: it comes through relationship with the living God. God has revealed Himself as a relational God. He longs to have a close, intimate relationship with you – a friendship. He desires to walk and talk with you (Gen.3:8). You can nurture your relationship with God today through listening, sharing, intimacy and friendship.
