Daily Bread: "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies - TopicsExpress

Daily Bread: "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." Romans 12:1-2. The moment we were transformed by the Holy Spirit we became dead to ourselves and alive to Jesus Christ. We went from bound to the flesh and the sin of the world to free bondservants of the Most High. We must be holy as He is Holy (1 Peter 1:16), but this is not possible for the one that is not new in Christ. In the flesh, you can make changes to your life but the differences are temporary, but a new creation in Christ is changed eternally. This is why we cannot be conformed to the world, the things of the world, to be accepted by the world. If your desire is to be loved by everyone and be popular, then you do not want to be a Christian. Jesus said, "If you were of the world, the world would LOVE its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I CHOSE you out of the world, therefore the world HATES you. Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also. But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin. He who hates Me hates My Father also." (John 15:19-23). They hate not because the want or intention of the Christian is that all would hate them but the byproduct of following Jesus is that He transforms you into light in the midst of darkness. "For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed." (John 3:20). The problem that is very prevalent today is "Christians" comparing themselves to "Christians" instead of the word of God. Thus they are left with the deception of comparing themselves with the people who are unsaved and just as worldly. These professing Christians look like the world, act like the world, love the things of the world, but yet proclaim to love Jesus Christ. Faithers, as new creations in Christ we are transformed and have the mind of Christ. It is only with the mind of Christ, which we receive through the Spirit of Christ, that we can prove what is good, acceptable, and the perfect will of God because He has given us the Spirit of truth and His Word which is "given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16-17). The Spirit of Christ is Holy, it cannot lie and cannot be wrong, and it will lead us in all truth. (John 16:13). I finish with words from the Apostle Peter, "Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”" (1 Peter 1:13-16). Have a blessed day Faithers! FAITH FIVE!!!
