Daily Breeze INGLEWOOD WANTS A BATTLE It was not a good start for Inglewood in the debut of head coach Jason Miller, but he was proud of how the Sentinels finished in their 27-22 loss at Laguna Hills. The Sentinels fumbled on their first possession and trailed 21-0 in the first quarter after giving up two touchdowns on fumble recoveries. Yet they hung tough and made a game of it behind their defense and quarterback Jerome Roseborough, who rushed for two touchdowns. Dion Cohil had a 93-yard touchdown on a fumble recovery for Inglewood in the third quarter, yet the Sentinels fell short on their final drive. “Those three turnovers killed us. We shot ourselves in the foot early but we made some adjustments,” Miller said. The Sentinels know they have to regroup quickly because they have another tough challenge at West Torrance on Friday. Inglewood’s offense is similar to West’s, yet Miller tipped his hat to the Warriors for their execution and discipline. “We’re going to see what we’re made of,” Miller said, “We have to play mistake-free if we want to win.”
