Daily Prayer Break: Monday, October 28, 2013 We invite you to take 3 minutes and spend time in prayer with us. Pause, Read, Reflect… Pause: Take a moment to center yourself. Focus on your breath. As you breathe in, focus God, His love, His goodness and all the gifts he has given you this day. As you breathe out, allow your stress, struggles, worries, anxieties and all things not rooted in God’s love to leave your body with each breath. (Repeat as needed) Read: Our Gospel today: Luke 6:12-16 Jesus went up to the mountain to pray, and he spent the night in prayer to God. When day came, he called his disciples to himself, and from them he chose Twelve, whom he also named Apostles: Simon, whom he named Peter, and his brother Andrew, James, John, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, Simon who was called a Zealot, and Judas the son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor. Reflect: 1) What is God speaking to me about through this Gospel? 2) Before I make big decisions in my life, do I seek guidance through prayer? 3) When it comes to friends, have I asked God to guide me to people He wants in my life? Final prayer: Lord my God, may I always take the time to seek you in prayer, especially when I am faced with a big decision in my life. Please place in my life people around me who will help me on my journey to You. -- Amen Even online, we are a community -- a family -- united through prayer. Thank you for taking this time to pray with us. Feel free to share your prayer requests, thoughts, insights and joyful thanksgivings with us by commenting on this post. Together, we support each other on our journey.
